I know I've seen them I'll have to go threw my paperwork. As a side note the replacement is a 22 gallon tank so If you have the 26 gallon tank you lose 4 gallons but you do get a new tank.

You can get a new tank from www.greensalescompany.com I checked with them over the summer and they have them in stock around $ 300.00 I think ? Good luck !!

Maybe it's the wagons that have 26 gallon tanks, when I get over to the shop I'll have to check the owners manual.

gas tank

I just replaced the tank in my 73 Montego GT.

The 72 and 73 cars have the smaller tank, 22 gallons. This was not available anywhere that I could find.

I had to purchase the 1974 up, 26 gallon tank, pickup, tank vent valve, and straps.

The tank is readily available from several aftermarket sources, the pickup was sourced from AutoKrafters and is stainless steel.

The straps were purchased from the same supplier as the tank, and the vent valve came from Dearborn Classics, but I think it is still available from Ford.

The whole deal set me back just under $500.00.

Let me know if you need a name for the tank.
