Door Panels

I have a 1972 Gran Torino Sport, Formal roof, hardtop. I am looking for inside door panels to complete the restoration. I have checked with Dearborn Classics and Autokrafters but no luck. I would appreciate any info about restoration or replacement parts. Thanks.

Are you looking for the door panel or the paper sound deadener.

I need the door panel itself. The panels on my Torino are basically ok but, the styrofoam has dried out and is crumbling and chunks fall off every time I shut the door. I can get them re-covered with some kind of material I guess but that would ruin the 'Originality' of the car. John M.

I would say that the originality is already ruined if its crumbling apart!
Cars dont last forever, esspecially stuff like plastic, rubber, vinyl, and carpet.
If you search around enough, you may be able to come up with the original style material or something very close to it.
I know its not perfect, but its probably better than the current condition.

Try SMS Auto Fabrics, smsautofabrics.com they had new panels for a 70 - 71 cobra that no one else carries. Good luck.
