Header Gaskets

I received my fpa headers and everything looks fine, but they came with paper gaskets. I've always been told to stay away from the paper stuff, but I am sure Stan at FPA knows his stuff.

Would you guys use the paper gaskets or go out and buy a different set?

Re: Header Gaskets

I would use what they sent you. It is probably pretty thick and should hold up. I would recommend changing them if you had to remove the headers down the line.

Re: Header Gaskets

I had papers when I first got my Hookers, they were the ones that came with it. They worked fine untill a couple WOT blasts, then they started ticking. I ended up using an aluminum street sign I had lying around, and a thin smear of red high temp RTV.

Re: Header Gaskets

I'd spend a couple more bucks on copper gaskets.

Re: Header Gaskets

I have used the paper ones with lots of success. The trick is to soak them in water for 2 days then install them . The will seal up great
