'73 Gran Torino Wagon help

I have a '73 Gran Torino 4dr Wagon all original paint, no rust, 52K miles. It sat for 20 years then i got it, started it and drove it for a day. ran great . Cut it off, then tried to start it next day and it sounds like it has jumped time. Wont start, back firs thru the carb, compression on the plug holes is all screwy. Looks like it is time for a timing chain. I can't do motor work and noone around here will for under 400.00, so I may junk it. I really want to get rid of the car. Is it worth keeping?

Thanks,

Blue71

Re: '73 Gran Torino Wagon help

Honestly,it's your call, but maybe throwing the thing on ebay might be smarter than junking it...the wagon's are not terrribly common in my mind anymore, and a few guys here or other ford sites may take interest.
I'd give Ebay a shot under parts cars before just ditching the wagon.
Might help to post pics or a rough location...

Re: '73 Gran Torino Wagon help

Where are you located? I may be interested in either repairing it for you (for a fee) or buying it.
