Where to buy shoulder harness seat belts???

My '70 Fairlane only has lap belts and I would like to put a shoulder harness system back in the car.

Any ideas who sells this? I will also be converting from bench to bucket seats. What makes it even harder is that I have a blue interior.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey, do you magazine guys ever go to the wrecking yard?

Lots of options there, early and late model. Get creative.

Lots of blue interiors when you're not limited to model and year.

Full size t-birds and Lincolns in the 70's had a retractable shoulder and lap combo.

Good luck.

Not many.. strike that.. there's one bone yard near me.. all the other ones are full of new junk. And I'm not a "magazine guy" I just suckered one into hiring me

Memory Lane had nothing, so I was looking for other options. Good to know on the t-bird/Lincoln deal.

Are they different for bucket and bench seats? I have bench, converting to bucket.

Thanks...

There are lots of good parts yards in Southern California.
Give these guys a call. U&I Auto Parts
(909)888-6841
I think they charge about $20.00 for a set of seat belts.

Re: Where to buy shoulder harness seat belts???

Hell lol I have a set of high back buckets out of a camaro in my car and i get so many complements about them, when it comes to buckets the sky is the limit because you can always make them match and look good. when i first bought my car it had buckets out of a bronco those actually looked really good too especially with the fold down arm rests. PS why would you want shoulder belts over lap belts?

On the bucket swap, you may want to look at this article in the tech exchange forum, http://www.fordmuscle.com/forums/tec...ssic-ride.html. It addresses old buckets to new buckets, not bench to bucket, but it might give you some ideas.
