Question Talladega Values...

Hi Guys... I am a long time Mopar enthusiast looking to add a Talladega and possibly othe non-Mopars to my collection. I am looking for current market value information on the NASCAR inspired Ford Talladega.

I have just started the restoration of my 1969 Charger 500 Aero Mopar and would like to eventually display it side-by-side with a Talladega Aero Ford.

Any recent market value information would be appreciated! THANKS!

Below is a recent picture of my Charger 500...

Re: Talladega Values...

rough condition around 7 grand

all the way to 50 grand for a 100 point show car restoration or new condition.

That range is in good agreement with this website:

Collector Car Market Review Value Report - 1969 FORD TORINO TALLADEGA

Also seems to agree with the few fairly recent sales that I can document, but the recent asking prices are much higher...

For example, a #3 condition car for about $33K (seller believes it to be between 2 and 3 condition, but I believe it is much closer to 3).

Or this $70K restored car: 1969 Ford Torino Talladega - Used Ford Torino for sale with 89,000 miles

Although I would love a bargain, I am willing to pay fair market value... but not 30-40% over FMV.

Thanks for your input! I am not in a hurry, so I can wait for a fair deal...

Anyone else care to chime in with an opinion? It would be appreciated!

Allen

Re: Talladega Values...

Thanks for the link, that is a good car for comparison. Not too much real information about the car's condition though... and the "updated" interior is

But it might take about the same $$$ to restore this car or the local one that I looked at... still would rather have the local car as a starting point. Lets see how the bidding goes...

Thanks again, that is just the type of information that I am looking for. I had been searching eBay for Talladegas, but have been busy in the last few days and missed this auction.

Re: Talladega Values...

One sold on Barrett Jackson recently for 42K but I think that was a heck of a deal.
