1969 Torino Talladega

I bought the talledega on ebay on 1-19-2008 and am looking to have an original interior available for the car. Can anyone help with where I might find the door panels, front seat, and original material? I love the interior that is in the car but want original available for future value. Did I get hurt with the price I paid for the car with its interior? $34k?

If you feel comfortable with it, can you post the VIN, Body and Trim Code? This will give you the detailed description of the interior style.

There has to be trim shops that specialize in restoring interiors. Maybe check the ads in HEMMINGS.

The interior of your car looks great... Why do you want to change it?

Here's a pic of his Door Tag, guy's, I personally don't like the diamond Tuck look, but the layout is fine.

The Vin # is 9A46Q186570

Updated Uphostery!

Certainly not an OEM interior. Whether It hurts the price you paid depends entirely want a TALLADEGA books for and the cost or returning it to OEM. I have no idea.

Let me work the codes and I will get you a description of the factory interior. It should be basic FAIRLANE/TORINO with maybe some special badging.

Are the first four characters of the VIN 9446?

BODY?

TRIM 1A?

DSO 642500?

It is hard to see clearly on the photo.

Oh. Save that interior when you pull it. Might get you some money.

The Vin# 9A46Q186570

The Tag is: body 63B

Color: K

Trim: 1A

Date: 21A

DSO: 84250 OR 89250, possibly just 8925 or 8425... (to be sure, try dropping the 0 and adding it to the axle code and make it '00')

Axle: 0

Trans: U

That's all my tired old eyes will give me....

Give Jason a call at this place Home- Billups Classic Cars and Auto Body. He has done a number of Torinos and maybe able to point you in the right direction.

Re: 1969 Torino Talladega

Seat sovers and door panels are not unique to the talledega cars, same parts as the cobra / torinos

Re: 1969 Torino Talladega

The price you paid for is good when compared to the 42K paid at the Barrett Jackson auction this past week. I personally don't mind the interior as is. Granted when considering how collectable the car there is a reasonable advantage to having the stock interior/upholstery. You will also need new kick panels bc I don't recall there being any 6" speakers in them when they were stock. You can check out Dearborne Classics for some of the stuff you're looking for. I'm not sure if they have any Talladega specific items but it's worth a shot since you can get a free catalog online.

Post Re: 1969 Torino Talladega

OK...

The 3rd and 4th characters of the VIN is the Series Code, which in this instance is a 63B (Body Trim Code) COBRA 2DR HDTP (FASTBACK) BENCH SEATS.

TRIM 1A identifies it as Charcoal Black Corinthian Vinyl W/ Charcoal Black Kiwi Vinyl And Oneida Pattern Cloth.

In other words, it is a base 428CJ FAIRLANE FB, standard interior with fancy sheet metal to have made it legal for NASCAR.
