Disc brakes from 78 Lincoln

Was wondering if these would fit my Torino. I have a 70 Brougham. I have granada spindles, but I think the bigger breaks would be better. Any thoughts on both.

Have folks used Granada's successfully on Torinos. I know they are an every day swap on Mustangs.

The LINC rotor bolt pattern is 5" X 5".

Re: Disc brakes from 78 Lincoln

If you upgrading from drum to disc, hell the granada swap is perfectly fine.
A guy I know is into 50's ford and mercs, and he stopped using Granada stuff and started using mid 70's torino spindles instead to get the bigger 12" rotors, and swapped in alot of mark5 rear axle stuff into his 9" housings.
He said he did that because the torino stuff is still easier to come by than the Granada stuff and is usually cheaper, but if you have the G stuff, go for it.

I come on this site daily.. and missed this post until now. Yeah, I do have the granada brakes already. Matter fact, I have 2 sets of them. I just wanted to know if the other brakes were bigger and will the granada brakes work as well as the Torino brakes.. or does it even matter. I originally wanted to larger brake (torino) because I was going to run an open wheel.. and I just think it looks better with a big brake. I am now considering magnum 500's.. so you really won't see the brake a whole lot. With this being said.. will the granada be strong enough for stopping power up front. I think the bolt pattern will be the same correct?
