Re: 351C doesn't run

5psi is stupidly low, my cleveland has 20psi at warm idle and around 40-50 at cold idle. Something is not right with your motor, time for a tear down!!

Re: 351C doesn't run

sounds to me from what you and the other guys have said in this thread.......the engine is wore out and you dont sound to enthused about investing a little wrench time to fix it. especially after reading about the low oil pressure and pieces of metel ect, ect. either tear it down and rebuild and fix it right or sell it and get rid of it.

Re: 351C doesn't run

deep down i knew it would come to a rebuild b/c even if i fix the popping, im not comfortable with driving it with 5psi oil pressure.

i'll try and scrape up a little extra money b/c once its out i might as well beef it up a little.

-if it turns out that i ultimately don't want the motor back in, what do you guys think of a 460-easy,mild or hard swap.

i have a 460 sittin in the corner from when i snatched it out of a salvage yard cause i saw it was freshly rebuilt(knew the guys and got it for $450-the lincoln drove in the yard!)
