Angry Still not sure?

I know we have hit this subject many times but I"m still unclear. I want to put 15x10 wheel on the rear of my 72 gts but I dont want to have the tire stick out, flush would be nice. Will a 4 1/2 backspace work or do I have to go custom and get a larger backspace. I'll go with the 295-50-15 if the 4 1/2 will work. I just want it to look right the first time. Thanks

Re: Still not sure?

check the home page, they have a big feature on 72-76 wheel sizing with some pics. That may give you some direction.

Re: Still not sure?

Yes, see the homepage and yes will not be happy with the 4-1/2" backpspace on a 15x10. Do a 15 x 8 with a 4" backspace if you want it to be nicely tucked. Otherwise, you will need a custom wheel. FYI. A 295/50 will fit the 15x8 wheel.

Re: Still not sure?

I have 15x10's with 5" backspace and my 275's are still nicely tucked under but not so much so that the car looks like it will roll over when rounding a corner.

Re: Still not sure?

The 15 x 10 with a 5 1/2"-6" backspace and a 295-50 will fit nicely, I just installed that combination (6" backspace) on my '73, and it fit awesome.
