Angry Holley 4150 650 DP with Auto Trans????

Now I'm frustrated!!!
I just took my 600 CFM Holley back to Summit and replaced it with a 4150 650 CFM DP (Based on running 125 shot of NOS for more fuel and recommendation from the
'good folk' on this site). So I get home and read "due to no kickdown, this should not be used on ford's with an automatic trans". OK, the tech @ summit told me I should be OK, because your secondaries are mechanical which will promote better fuel response running NOS, versus vacuum. So I went with the 4150 due to being more agressive.

Note: I don't plan to drive cross country...just here and there, local car shows, and to Norwalk to play every once in a while (only 20 min. from track)

So what do I do???

I was going to pay the 20 extra bucks for the 670 street avenger, but I won't be running the stock trans.

So my question is, will the 4150 mechanical be ok? Or should I cart my butt 55 miles back to summit and get the 670 street avenger?

OH by the way, I have a 70 Torino GT with a c4 and a TCI shift kit in it now. Considering the carb does not phisically have a kickdown stud, what should I do?????

Run it, you'll be fine. The carb isn't very big for the engine.. You didn't say the size, but you'll be ok for the intended usage.

You could install a lokar kick down cable instead of using the factory Linkage.
