Parts

anyone know where i can find a floor shifter, the shifter rod linkage, and the detent that goes into the trans. this is for a 76 gran torino

you mean likethis old thing I just removed to make space for a 5-speed? I need to keep the sheetmetal mount but don't need the shifter or linkage.

finally got that shifter off of craigslist. i have two neutral saftey switches and would like to know how to test them to c which one works before i put humpty back together again.......with new bushings.

Off hand I don't know for sure but the white trash way of finding out would be put the beast's rear axle on jack stands and put it in P, then N, then R and D and try to bump the engine to see if it fires at any spot.
I imagine there is a testing procedure like hooking up an Ohmmeter to the contacts and if you have an open circut reading but a closed one with a reading on others, depending on the position.
