Re: not starting when hot

ok. When you have it running, check the timing when cold and then hot. When it doesn't start, pull a plug. Is it wet with gas? How do you know it is flooding? Any smoke out the tailpipe? What does the choke butterfly do when it wont start? try covering the carb with your hand to restrict the air and see if it starts (unless it is backfiring through the carb, then don't do that.
