Drum Brake Sticking

My brakes get stuck on a regular basis. Not enough to keep the car stopped when giving gas but enough to squeel upon acceleration (I can feel resistance) and keep stopped at idle. If roads are really wet or low traction it can cause tires to spin.

Thanks

Re: Drum Brake Sticking

Take off your drums, CLEAN out everything in there, and put in a NEW Hardware kit.

That should help things a lot, possibly even cure them.

PLUS, I highly recommend taking off the fluid cap, and opening ALL the bleeder screws, and let the Master Cyl gravity bleed TWO full times.

That will get clean new fluid throughout the entire system.

If your master will NOT gravity bleed, (some just won't do it naturally)

Just bleed it naturally, and get new cleanfluid to each wheel.

That should cure everything, unless you have collapsing hoses, which happens but not vert often.

Some will chime in with "Residual Valve" issues... But I'm 90% sure that you're NOT having that type of issue.
