Wiped Lobe, Stuck Lifter, Dropped Valve, Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh MY!

So, over the past couple days I've heard a ticking that has slowly worsened. It's now a very audible ticking sound that comes and goes depending on load, and the engine is audible missing (like alot of lope that it didnt have before).
I changed my oil today to see if that would help

My guess would be either wiped lobes or your rockers need to be tightened. Take the valve covers off and wiggle the rockers by hand to see which ones are loose. Next have the car idle for a few minutes with the valve covers off and watch the rockers very closely, this should help you determine if any of the lobes are wiped.

For your sake I'm hoping it's just loose rockers.
