Plastic Dash Protectors?

Does anyone have any experience with the plastic dash protectors offered from people like Dearborn Classics? I don't like the fabric dash pads, and a new reconstructed dash pad is a little pricey. I read an article is a magazine about the plastic toppers and they look like a reasonable alternative, especially for under $100 bucks.

Has anyone used one of these?

I have one, if you match the color correctly it can look good.
not perfect, but much better than a cracked pad.
