72 GTS in the new Fast and the Furious 4

I saw spy pics today of come of the cars used in the upcoming The Fast and the Furious 4.... and one of the was a 72 GTS! I never found out if it was a feature car or whether it's just a car to have in the background, but still, when has anyone ever seen a 72 GTS in a movie?

Say what you want about the ricers and tuners in the first three movies, but this new one, although supposedly it's going to be based around drifting again, is supposed to feature a s197 Mustang, a new Charger, and a new Camaro. So it looks like they're finally looking into some true American cars and not screwing up a 1st gen Mustang by putting a 6 cylinder in it....

Was it blue with a white stripe?

Nope. I it was green with a white stripe along the bottom of the car.... I think they shoulda used the PureVision GTS but this one still looks pretty badass....

Interesting. It's the same striping to the tee as the PureVision GTS and the same wheels. They must have modeled it after that car. Cool.

this is no good...i really want one of these and this is going to drive the price up!

That's exactly what I was gonna say.... I was about to say that it's a good thing, but obviously not for you.... That just means you'll have to go ahead and start looking for one before the movie comes out!

You're right, except the wheels on the PureVision GTS are a different color, deep dish, and I think maybe bigger, and the movie GTS has side exit exhaust....

My bet is that they will destroy at least 10 of these cars for this stupid ass movie.

While I hate the thought of yet another edition in that series of "b" movies. And I use the term "movie" really loosly...they are going to have american iron this time in this edition, so I say while it'll be stupid, over the top, could be half ammusing.
I still recall #2, and dealing with the little import fan boys cheering in the theater when the 2000-ish cobra mustang got taken out and crushed by the semi.
Bad thing about these movies, is every ideot with a honda, nissan or what ever other tin can car suddenly thinks they have a racecar, and needs to run over to autozone and buy the biggest POS wing for their FWD ride.
Like some comic said, at least when it breaks down, it becomes a handle to push it with, like a big white trash shopping cart.
