Any idea the rear wheel specs? How did you fit a 10.5 tire on the rear without rub. We're the springs relocated?
rear wheels are off of an older lincoln town car i believe, I got them from a friend for free. they are ugly, but they fit. They are 15" x 7"? unsure of the backspacing. i can measure tomorrow and let you know for sure. Springs are in the stock location. I did have to roll my fender lips to clear my street tires though, so that gives me added room for the slicks. Now the quarters were replaced at some point in the cars life...dont know if that makes any difference or not.

Dont have to go through the trouble, I was just curious if you knew off of the top of your head. I'd like to jam in a 10.5 wide tire in mine. Thanks for sharing the spring idea, I have heard it works well, never knew anyone who has done it.

These cars are lighter than I thought. Your torino looks good, been thinking about the fiberglass bumpers, let us know how it goes.

Re: What is actual weight of a 68/69 Torino?

So i ran my car again today at the dragstrip, although i did not hit the 12's yet, i am seeing improvements. I found the perfect launch RPM...6500rpm, side step the clutch. Front end lifts 4-6" off the ground, and it carries it, that is until the clutch grenaded and spit chunks of clutch disc over the track. I suppose i need to step yp from the NApa stack replacement clutch that is currently in the car ( and chunks of it in my hands). Once again the track photographer got a couple awesome pics of my car, I will have to head down there this weekend to pick up my pics.
