So there is 4 local torino guys right here...almost enough for a car club huh.
I dont mind helping another torino man either, my buddy and me did literally everthing but base and clear on my car. We spend hours and hours on it all the time. Lots of fun, if you need a hand lemme know I'd help too, we can have a strip down party, provided you bring the stripper

I guess we could let the Fastback guys join our Car Club... but they have to go the 3G Alternator route....

Why can't we all just get along!! who we really need to be watching our backs for is all those mustang guys.
Mdula did you put a mustangsteve brake kit on the front of yours recently? I have the front end off of mine starting the suspension rebuild. do you have any tips on that brake kit?

Re: Newbie here with a 68' GT
got another story on those wheels, before i bought them i spoke with Eli at Vintage Wheel Works several times, didn't want to screw up the size and backspacing. Nice guy. anyway, after I got them and got them on, I emailed him some picks of the car, the one in my signature plus others. a couple of weeks later he emailed wanting to know the exact size and if i had any mods to the car because he had a potential client. so i took more picks of the clearance and emailed them.
a couple of months later Power Tour came to Little Rock and i ran into these guys from Missouri, Springfield I think, with a super nice fresh 69 Torino Cobra 428 (fastback, of course) sporting some late model Mustang Bullet wheels. I cued him about his wheel choice, we talked, low and behold, that was the guy talking to Eli about the wheel size and clearance questions. Eli had emailed him the pics i took. funny, small world!!

Im the one doing the Mustang Steve brake kit. Trying to get it to the brake place to do the bending of the lines. I have tried this before and I am just mentally challenged when it comes to that, so for about $350 the will bend new lines (3/16") and INSTALL the kit... sounds good to me. :-)
Let me know what questions you have about the parts etc.

Mdula and I have done the swap to the 3G alternator. It's cheap and easy. I use an early 90s Ford Taurus. The mounts are a little longer than the factory but they are cheaper than "mustang" parts. It's about $40 in parts after the alternator. 80amps at Idle. I have pics of the install. PM your email and I will send pics of everything. It even looks stock.

Re: Newbie here with a 68' GT
Yeah I put on a granada brake kit. Feels about the same as the drums. All Manual. The 3G alternator culcuhain and me did was super easy and works great. I got a elec fan that will suck up and melt 40A fuses, so I needed one. I did though put in all new front suspension, steering, and a 9" rear recently.
There is some shows and what not coming up, we should get all local torino owners here, Anyone planning on attending Goodguys at TMS?
