72 Grand Torino

Has anyone seen the 72 Torino in the Dec. issue of MODIFIED MUSTANGS AND FORDS?

Re: 72 Grand Torino

Got my copy.

Not to terribly impressed with the article. The car is absolutly badass. It was also the car they based the Fast and the Furious Torino.

Would love to build my GTS into something similar, but I dont have the money. Nor do I have the heart to start hacking up the floor and frame.

Still the man who did the work is a god and an artisan.

Re: 72 Grand Torino

Ya its Stropes.

The most important thing on that car, the hydraulic actuated cluch, was not covered.
Nor did they go into any detail about the floor and frame modifications, just mentioned it in passing.

The draivetrain is very impressive. A stroked 460 with dual quad edelbrokes. Also a top loader 4 speed with a gear vendors OD unit. An 8 speed.

A very slick and impressive car, I just dont think the article did it justice.
