NEVER seen a sport without the rally gauges, does not mean they didnt make em just never seen em before, on the flip side I dont consider it to be a GTS if its not a fastback unless its a 351c 4v or 429 car just my thoughts on the matter

guys, ya missed his biggest clue in his second post saying it was body code 65r. 65R = 2DR HARDTOP GRAN TORINO SPORT.
And regardless if what you consider a sport, it is a sport. end of story. you may consider the sportsroof model the epitome of the sports but that doesnt make the formal roofs models non sports.
as for the gauge package in the sports, it was an OPTION. i had a 72 sport sportsroof model with buckets and console that came with the standard dash cluster. it also came from the factory with a 351W 2v motor WITH a C6 trans, not a cleveland 2v.
