what type of torino is this?

Hi everybody, I am new at the forum and to Ford Torinos..
What type of Torino is this??
It reads gran torino sport on the badges..
I see there ara a couple of models or codes..
this is a '72

From the picture, looks like a formal roof Gran Torino (like mine).
So the Sport badges may have been added by someone down the road.

Hold on. There's no reason that can't be a Sport. Looks like it's got the scoopy hood AND sport mirrors. Sport's did come in formal roofs with vinyl tops. An interior shot would seal the deal. Look for molded plastic door panels... I've seen standard Gran Torinos with Sport gauge clusters and Sport mirrors but never with Sport door panels.

BTW, from your picture looks like a great base for a little TLC.

I'm not going to speak for him but it looks like a sport to me.

The gauge cluster was also a deciding factor.
