proportioning valve.

I am upgrading the front drums on my 69 with discs from a 68 GT. All of the hardware will be there but the proportioning valve. Does anybody know of one that I could get off of another ford product? Seen a aftermarket one from Kanters and Dearborn Classics. Wondering if there are any other alternatives out there.

Re: proportioning valve.

The proportioning valve off ANY ford that had the brake combo that you are using will be fine.

Re: proportioning valve.

if your gettin' the disc set up, get the prop valve (only if its cheap or you're certain it works). from my experience the shuttle valves get siezed up in their bores and can't be removed without destruction.... unless there is some trick i am not aware of.

you can always do the aftermarket thing, with the infinitely adjustable knob setup from wilwood or others.

Re: proportioning valve.

I did a search here and found a few other threads on the subject. Summit has one that looks nice. The Vickie option is nice too. I dont care if it looks stock, just need it to work. Thanks guys.
