I have a mostly original black '78 F-250 2-wheel drive. 460/auto,air, ps/pb. Dual exhaust, diamond plate aluminum running boards, fiberglass cap. It has 76K original miles. My father bought it in Feb.'79, 9 months old with 12K miles already on it, from the original owner who was about to lose it to the bank. It was $7500 new, my dad paid $5200 for it. He added the cap, running boards, bug shield, step bumper, white spoke wheels, twin CB antennas - ala '79-'80 - the way cool pickups were done (Urban Cowboy stuff). Mostly just kept it garaged, towed the campers over the years, obsessed over it, drove it in the snow twice - it was so bad even with snow tires and weight he wouldn't use it in the snow. I lusted after this truck since he bought it (I was 13) and figured I might get it when he died. 2 weeks ago, he surprised everyone that knows him and bought an '04 Chevy 2500HD Ex. cab 4wd brand new. The F-250 4 door Powerstroke 4wd he wanted was over $40K, and this Chevy rolled in his driveway for $26K. He gave me the '78! Nobody has ever given me a greater material item in my 38 years. I will never sell this truck. They will have to pry my dead cold fingers from the steering wheel, that's the only way I'll give it up. I'm going to redo some things, make it just like I would have if it was me buying it in '79. I in turn, gave my 16 year old son my '88 302 Ranger project.

Well, thought I'd chime in....I can't post anything yet, but I have a project truck of sorts that I have owned roughly since late 1996. It's an '84 f150, 2wd 302 carbed, with AOD. Bought off my cousin, he dropped a 302 roller engine, then the factory AOD was more or less killed at 103k; I had a hd rebuild done, fixed the a/c, and then chopped the roof for a removable hard top. Door tops also are removable. Replaced all the suspension, one ton dualie sway bars, all new coil/leaf springs, Long tube headman headers, just got a new Rpm edlebrock intake, and 600cfm performer carb....sold it 2 years to a friend, who needed something reliable {but I never did say fuel effecient} I just got it back, and am going to rework the top to open and fold back with a either a pair of accuators, or hydraulic cylinders. Also considering turning it into a one ton shortbox dualie, for the fun of it, but I havn't figured out if I can bolt on the 3/4 or one ton front suspension.

Here is a link to another club site I belong to, of my truck, and my 72 Torino I am slowly restoring.

This is my project truck, because it is my project to GET this truck!
I drive by this beauty each day on my way to work. Very clean, orignal owner, 390v8, c6 auto, factory air, power disc brakes, and you just got to love the two tone blue & white!!! YUM I only hope I can convince them to sell to me!

I have a 91 F-150 XLT 4x4 that had a busted engine when I got it. I'm in the process of installing a 97 Explorer 5.0 in it. I'm swapping out the roller cam and putting in a Comp Cams 270H hyd cam.
hand me that hammer, I think I can make it fit.

I currently have 2 70 F100s
My main project is a 70 SWB that i accuired on trade it had a blown up 302 and C4 that were both trashed. I just got done installing a EFI HO 5.0 and a AOD, still working outh the fuel system and have alittle more wiring to go. Will probably end up selling that one to fund my original F100
my second project (long term)
I bought a 70 LWB about 3 years ago and started a frame off, then decided to go to a SWB so I am transplanting everything over to the SWB chassis. It is a Ranger XLT factory and I have added 76 disc brakes. I plan on running the .040 429 out of my torino and have a modified mustang efi setup to go with it wil have a C6 and 3.25 locker in the back.

Hi, I'm new here but will be with you guys a looooong time due to a Gorgeous '67 250 Camper Special that I am currently doing a Ground up on. The long time thing comes in the way of having a broken Orig. 352 and changing that one little thing on the truck to a .030 over '66 Custom 500 motor I acquired (with a Custom 500 4 dr. attached to it that I did not want). I hope to inter-act with you for advice and "VERY INEXPENSIVE PARTS" because I got the FE FEVER and I'm going broke...... ha ha ha.

One More thing... Can anyone locate a set of 5 16.5"X8" Ford (not dodge) steel one piece rims?
I would greatly appreciate an e-mail if you could. I currently have those "everybody has 'em aftermarket mid 70's chrome rims" like the Beautiful '70 ford a few posts above this one has.
I also tried to put some photo's in but the site said they are too big.
