460 engines

Question: Sometime in the '90's Ford updated the fuel-injected 460 with better heads, etc. and it made significantly more power. Does anybody remember in what year they did this? thanks! Allan

they went with bigger valves but i dont know what year.The early EFI's had 1.975/1.65[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_tdown.gif[/img]

And the EFI's have a different angle on the intake surface.

you mean to tell me ford had a higher flowing efi head for the 460?even better than a old carb head,with bigger valves?your jokin ..........right?

Nope, but there's no intake for it.

In 1993 the intake valve head diameter was increased from 1.977" to 2.083".
