Smog Pump

Has any one ever took a smog pump off of an 4.9L F-150???? Can this be done and improve HP'S........And everything still work...

YA YA YA YA I know that was prolly the stupidest question over....I've done it to a 302 before but went with Carb... And I know it ran better so I thought might as well ask....!!!! thanks.

I HAD to take the smog pump off my 4.9L because I needed the 1" hole on the exhaust manifold for the wastegate.

Definitely runs better without the smog pump but I think the turbo has a little something to do with that too.
