4x4 460 oil pan
Im getting my 460 ready to drop into my 4x4, and was wondering which pan is the correct fit for an 81 frame. The rear sump most commonly used in fox applications, or the mid sump from a van?

Your welcome to come look under the Effie if it will help you in any way a all. I have the rear sunmp pan on Queenie's 460 ... but then I'm also not real sure exactly which pan I have either ... I got it from a guy named Rick in Indiana off eBay [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img] He sells the things all the time.

I would say the rear sump. I have an '85 F250 with a 460, and it's rear sump.
