Weak Explorer trans
I'm ready for my THIRD 5-speed in my 93 4x4 Explorer. All I really use it for is towing my (heavy) Searay powerboat, but these boxes just can't take the strain, and the clutch is pretty wimpy too. Other than converting to automatic, do I have in bolt-in upgrade options?

Weird. I had a '91 Ranger 4.0L with the same trans and TRIED to tear it up. Believe me, I tried hard, really hard...but never did do it. Sold it to my dumb brother, which I'm still kicking myself for doing.
