Front Sway Bar for a 79 F100

I found a site offering front sway bar end links (but no sway bar) for a '79 Ford Truck. My truck doesn't have a front sway bar. Does anyone know whether or not Ford offered the '79 F100 with a factory installed sway bar? What package would have included it? Now, for the important question...where can I get one?

Never seen one but my E-250 van had one &amp; it's the same chassis.....

Yes the 79 Ford did come with a sway bar from the factory.
It would of came with either the sport handeling package or the camper options.

the only bad thing about it is that the attachements for the sway bar to axle uses the bolt that attaches the axle to the strut bar (?), so you have to undo that bolt and slip the bracket over the strut bar and retorque the bolt.

other than that it is a pretty simple design.

I added one to my 71 F100. I found one looking through the net. Mine is made by ADDCO or close to that. It is for a 67-79 ford truck so it should fit yours. I bolts to the frame in front of the ibeams and then you drill 2 holes in the I-beams to mount the end link bracket to. Looks OK but drives like it's on rails compared to without

I found a distributor near me that has both available! [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif[/img]

Glad to help bud. Got to say that was one of the best mods I've done to my truck. Felt like I went from a farm truck to a sports truck.lol
