how come on a f 150...

why do some f 150's have 5 lug wheels and others have 6 i believe. the one with more lugs, is it rated at more than a 1/2 ton? if so, is it as much as a 3/4 ton. can someone clarify what the difference is.

Nope, the newest of the F-150's now have 6 lugs. Dont ask me why.

Greg Cook might know since he just bought a new one. He told me they are making a F-150 Tradition with the "old" body style and the new F-150 at the same time.

Maybe different load characteristics or just marketing to make the truck look even bigger.

Thats the heritage edition, and as far as I know is just a carry over most likely to use up old parts and give the buying public a chance to take in the ugly new F-150s.

hey, i saw the truck again, and it is the late 90's body style. on the tailgate, on the f150 badge it also had 7700 on it as well. i think it has a 5.4 in it, and looking in the bed i saw it had a fifth wheel setup, to pull a rv. this all just sounds real weird to me.
