Powertrax differential lock

My 68 F250 has the early rear housing with 1 3/4" outboard bearing ID and 16 tooth spline axles with 2 2/8" rounded point bearing nuts. Been told late 68 onward housings had 2" bearing ID with 2 9/16" rounded point bearing nuts with 30 tooth,(?)spline axles. Question; will 30 tooth spline axles fit my small stub axle housing? Is the new Powertrax noisy?
Does this unit operate smoothly under "normal" street driving around corners? Thanks guys, Carl......o&o>.......

Correction to the last post; the early Dana 60, pre 69 had 2 3/8" nut on the wheel bearings not 2 2/8" as typed. Damn finger made a mistake again! Must get it more treatments soaking in Gin and tonic. Carl.........o&o>..............
