Ford Rear Disc Brake Swap

Question: I have a large bearing 9 inch Ford rearend in a street rod and was wondering if the later model ('97-'03)Ford F150 rear disc assemblys would be a bolt on. The bearing housing end bolt pattern on my axle measure 3.50 x 2.375. Also, the axles have a 5 x 5 bolt pattern. If anyone has some experience with this kind of swap, the info would be appreciated.

very different bearing design though, so you couldnt just swap axles and make it work. doesnt stainless steel brake corp sell a swap kit?

we used GM Metric calipers, brackets from Day Motorsports, and new GM rotors redrilled on our bracket car. They work awesome...worlds better than the old drums.

It was as close to a true bolt-on as you'll get, other than re-drilling the rotors.

Look through some treads on the Early Bronco forums there are several different ways to do it. I havent studdied up on that in a while but you should find plenty of info.
