C6 vs AOD?

In trying to get better mileage would a tranny swap be worth it?; from my existing C-6 to an AOD?. The reason I ask is that I've heard a lot of good things about the C-6 and not that many for Overdrive trannies. If I were to keep the C-6 and have no money for those under/overdrive kits what could I do instead? thanks... (mine is a 2WD Bronco)[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif[/img]

If you want better gas mileage i would swap in aod trans in. i am thinking about doing the same with my 79 pace car.you could install a taller gear in the rear that will help some.what kind of carb are you running?
