Are you asking about the brackets that are attached to the bumper? Or are you asking if the bumper itself is welded to the frame?

The bumper itself will not be welded to the frame. If the brackets don't simply come off by removing the bolts, it really depends how they are attached. Any rivet-type fastener can be dealt with by a grinder.

Are you sure the brackets will fit your new bumper? Know anyone that can fabricate a new set of bumper brackets?

I replaced the rear bumper on my '91 Bronco and it was a simple unbolt procedure. The new bumper came with brackets that I then modified a bit to accomodate the 3" body lift I had.

Sorry I m talking about the brackets that bolt to the bumper.
I picked up a bumper off of a Bronco and the brackets are differnt. It took me 5 min. to remove my old bumper but I was unable to get the bumper brackets off.
