Electric choke

I need to hook up my electric choke wire.
I remember when I originally unhooked it there was a connector off the main wiring harness coming across from the main harness out of the firewall.
I have also traced the wire in the Chilton manual and it seems to come off the regulator.
Any Help.

The correct wire will indeed come from the Voltage Regulator ... it is "HOT" ... only when the motor is running.

On all Ford vehicles I have worked with the wire will be "White w/Black Stripe" and it will come in the harness from the voltage regulator ... not the firewall.
