84 300 6

hey everyone. just wondering if going from a 2barrell to a 1barrell on my 300 will hurt or help me. having major carb problems causing gas mileage to be under 10. any help would be great.

Sorry not to get back to ya on the 460 swap but I think it would be a high $$ swap into the 84 4X4 and I didn't realy know what you would need.
As for the car switch I don't think the 1b would help you would lose power. I would stay with the 2b you might invest in a new 2b (don't go Holly bad for milage) I'd go with a stock replacement. or just get your rebuilt by a reptule builder. It might just have a blown power valve. also look for gas leaks in the lines anyway from the tank to the carb.. even a small leak would cut big into the gas milage. look for old rubber lines and lose fittings.
