were on a 1992 351 would I find the IAT sensor?

Are you looking for the "idle air temp" sensor? Or, the IAC "idle air controll" valve?

It should be screwed into your plenum somewhere just behing the inlet, (black or gray) and should have 2 wires going to it. I can give you more info monday off my work computer.
