Dear Sir... which part of the engine area? When you say 'engine area' your talking about over 4 linear feet and as much as 18 cubic feet of space in which your problem could originate from...... And... You said you changed the Alt, and Pressure plate, you just went from the front to the back.... Where is this noise exactly? Or rather what kind of squeel? Might be the W/P bearing....

Heck, could just be a bad belt. Need more details... When does it occur? During start up, at high rpms, under load, at idle, what?

Try tightening your intake and exhaust manifolds. Maybe air sucking in or exiting through bad gaskets. Need more info.

Ok lets go this way We put new belts and rad cap,but the belts are a pain to keep tight one is tight the other is a little lose. the noise thing sounds more like when the engine gets hot. it doesn't matter idle or on the gas if i let off it it goes away for awhile(remember he is a 16 yr old But he has helped do all the work on it including paint) but it comes back. It has a 4 blade fan. we replaced the clutch throw out bearing pressure plate.I wonder if we r getting tomany rpm's we have 215 70 r 15s tires. Thanks Guys for all the HELP

I'd say the squeal is from a water pump bearing going out or that loose belt.

Ok guys 300 6 cly, Put brand new water pumpin and tighten fan belts, STILL HAVE THAT SQUEEL It comes from the pass side, I think it's a alt bearing because it sounds like the noise is coming from that areaThis is really making my 16 yr old SUPER UPSET thanks

Hit the alternator with a cup of water when the squeal is happening... Put the water on the belt.. if the sound goe's away get a new belt. If it don't, pour the water on the alt directly, if the sound go's away then.... ghet a new belt and a new Alternator....
