the disc brakes and booster are from a 77 F150. The whole drivetrain from 65-79 interchanges, including the frame.

I'm going to pick up the truck today, much cleaning and reassembly to do. I'm gonna remove the bed (again), to fab the exhaust and re-detail the frame. Exhaust is dual 2.5" coming from the engine, then leading to a dual inlet/single 3" outlet Hooker aerochamber, it will have a single 3" tailpipe with a concealed turndown for an outlet. Didn't want to do the usual "duals under the bumper" routine. Wheels and tires have also arrived, went with 16X8 Hopsters by American Racing, rubber is 265/60/16 BFG Radial T/A's. Pics will be posted soon!

I'm pretty freaking excited, its been at the body shop for about 5 months, can't wait to get it finished up and back on the road.

New pics

after some cleanup (dust was everywhere), still a little overspray I need to touch up

still have some trim to install, plus some interior stuff, wire up the blinkers, etc. The back end should settle a little once the tailgate and receiver hitch are installed. I like my trucks to sit level.

Very nice. The rims set off the white paint and it makes for a very clean combo. A little more trim for some extra chrome will only make it that much nicer. How about a little pin stripe along the body line that runs from stem to stern?

Thanks Neal. I was going for the clean look, but at first I thought it was going to be too plain. I've put most of the trim back on now and it looks just right. It is a custom cab originally, I just shaved the side molding and custom cab emblems from the doors. The polished grill, chrome bumpers, and tailight bezels are still in use. I'll post more pics when its complete.
