Truck engine in a car?

Can I use a 460cui Truck engine in my Lincoln Mk4 without problems?

Depends on the year, all of the later truck engines are externally balanced and have serp belt systems. Some lincolns use a different Motor mount pattern to you'll have to look and see which yours has.

there are ALWAY'S issues when puttin a big motor in anything that didn't have a big motor before.... It might fit and it will definitely be fun! But it won't be without problems....

Truck engine in a car?

I have 73er Lincoln with a 460 low pressure engine! The Truck engine is a 78er HP!! Is it okay? (I need the lp engine for a my projekt car)! Sorry for my bad englisch.

Oil pan sump front or rear on car? trucks are usually rear.

Truck engine in a car?

At least on the 73-79 pickups (460 in longbed two wheel drives only) they used the car pan with one exception. The drainplug is in the BACK of the sump, and the car pans are in the SIDE of the sump. It's really annoying changing oil in a truck when the drainplug is sitting on the crossmember.

On the 83 up stuff, I have no idea... other then they had a 4x4 pan added to the mix.
