Water leaks into my oil. I rebuilt the top end. It still leaks. I heard that the heads for these engines ..... suck. But the block are really good for the most part. What do you guys think? Are the heads good for these trucks, or should I buy some thicker heads? If so, any suggestions on where to get them?

Heads are prone to cracking on 2.9's and 4.0's. Also the 3.0's from what I hear.

I think world products makes a set of stock replacement heads. At least I think they did at one time.

Crack between valve springs or between valve seats. Other than that, they are great engines.
