Torque converter? in a f-250 SD

I have a 2001 f-250 Super Duty {crew} with a 5.4.When it had 40 K ,it started to chatter during shifts the dealer replaced the torque converter and it was fine.It now has 106 K and started chattering again.I'm going to replace the converter again.My question is is this common and can I upgrade the converter instead of putting in a stock one.I tow on the highway with it and use it to put by boat in on ramps.Thanks Mike Sr.

i believe companies like TCI and possibly Hughes offer HD Converters for late model trucks. give them a try.

if it si truly chater as in clutch chatter in between shift,need a shift kit from trans go,it has the goodies to help quicken the clutch aplication of the torque conv.
