worth anything?

They aren't the most desireable Ford Trucks, but if it's in great shape it would still make a nice driver. It is something different and you don't see many of them anymore.

worth anything?

well I scoped the place out. The '59 is in decent shape, body-wise. The drivetrain is junk. The flat head had been swapped in along with a matching transmission, driveshaft, and a chrysler 8 3/4" rear end...if that tells you anything. To me, its worthless (and ugly!)

The barn has a '66 Mustang (fair, needs restoration been sitting since '73), a '73 Mustang, a '78 Cobra II and a '82 short bed pickup. The '73 is fair at best. They bought the '66 brand new in '65, drove it until the engine gave way in '72 and bought the '73 brand new. Lots of rust on the 73 but it could be fixed. No drivetrain, appears to have been a 351c or 302 (did they come with 351w's in '73? ), judging by the engine mounts that are in the front seat. The cobra is pretty good compared to the rest of them and it may be worth looking into for a project. A little surface rust where a couple of trusses were dragged across in an attempt to repair the roof and the truss nails scratched the paint on the top. Easily repairable and it was done recently. No engine or transmission, but it was a manual transmission (4 speed?) and it's got an 8" rear. The '82 pickup is wrecked beyond recognition. The guy bought it used a year or so ago for his 17 year old girl and the truck was hit by a train when she killed the engine trying to cross the tracks (3 speed 6 cylinder)

I may look into the Cobra. Not something I want or need, but it might be a good project to restore. Paint is pretty good, still glossy (except where scratched) and actually someone good might be able to touch up the scratched parts on the top, give it a good buff, and it'd look almost new again. Interior is great except the pass. seat where there is a 302 cylinder head laying right smack in the middle of the seat, oil stains out that ya-zoo...but the rest is pretty nice for it's age. Guy that owns all this junk wants a powerglide built for his Mustang....So I may just trade him a built 'glide for that cobra. We'll see if he goes for it.

I dont know but a 59 F100 w/ a flathead, 8 3/4, sounds like all the fixins to be slammed on some wide whites wrapped in suede and used as a rat rod daily driver, where is it? I'll give him 50 bucks for it (my wife would kill me if i drag another F100 home)
. . .
