no idea...

i am new to the domestic scene an di have no idea what i am doing lol
i am the new (to me) owner of a 1986 ford f150 4x2. i have no idea what kind of motor is in the truck( the previous owner told me that its completely stock). i am trying to find out what i need to do first and foremost as to where to start. any tips hints suggestions and ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Look at the sticker under the hood. Most likely a 5.0 8 or 4.9 six. If it is a six then it will have a carb because they were injected till 87. I believe the 5.0 was injected in 85.

If you can't find the label under the hood post apicture of it, we'll tell ya where to go

What do you WANT to do to the truck? Just make it run good?
