worth it?

hopefully you truck guys can help me. one of my buddies neighbors has a 73 f250 4x4 sitting in his driveway that i always thought was a badass truck. ive never seen it running, and i found out it hasnt run in about 6 or 7 years. i checked it out one day, it has a 427 FE that was built by that neighbors neighbor. he told me what he did to it but i cant remember everything, i know it has new (at the time...about 8 years ago) heads, pistons, cam, intake, carb, headers etc. its bolted to a 3 or 4spd manual tranny, again cant remember.

the body needs help but is repairable, a few cancer spots but nothin overtaking the truck. it was lifted and has 33 inch tires, but one is flat and that rim is trashed.

im still really interested, even if its only for the motor and tranny, which i want to put in my 69 mustang fastback.

ive looked for trucks like this one on ebay and craigslist and places like that to see what they go for, but cant find anything comparable.

i can get it for $1000. to me that sounds pretty reasonable, but i dont know trucks very well, so uh...is it worth it?

i have a 73 f250 motorhome that has been sitting dead for years that i can get parts from by the way.

YOU RETARD! THROW that $1K at him immediately! Where in the hell can you find a 427 for less than $5K ANYWHERE????? UNless it's a stroked 351...

Please buy the truck, adn make SURE first that it's a 427, check the block for side bolted main caps.
