Re: ?? 351M, EGR/ non-EGR??

If you have a 351M with an EGR (probably does if it's bone stock) then it'll have a plate between the carb and intake with a bunch of ugly vacuum ports and heat risers. Since you have a 66 truck I just see no reason to have an EGR on there. Buy the non-EGR edelbrock set-up and toss all your current associated EGR equipment. I did it here in this article.

See specifically caption #3 under "Simplifying the Beast". That's the EGR plate.

Re: ?? 351M, EGR/ non-EGR??

I reinstalled the EGR valve on my 89 460 without any problems. It should help a little with gas mileage and emissions.

How do I know for sure if mine is EGR equipted or not? If Iam going to rebuild the motor does it matter if I get either or? Any help or info anyone can give would be appreciated!! Thank You!!
in a '66 ford........I wouldnt bother with the egr. get yourself a non-egr, dual plane intake, throw a decent size double pumper on it and HAUL ASS!
