Re: stall convertor question

I used to have a friend with a 289, 4-speed, 4.10 rear in a '70 Mustang. Had a snotty cam and 2x4 Holleys. He sold the intake, carbs, and 4-speed and 4.10's. Put in a auto (all stock) and it wouldn't idle in gear and had to do neutral drops to get going! He wanted it to sound badazzed with out the hassle of low gears. It will depend on what engine and combo. Some big engines might be OK.

Re: stall convertor question

well it's a 460 big block stock except for carb and cam, headers, and intake.... but been thinking about getting a smaller cam now and that one doesn't need a stall. but it should sound good though.

Re: stall convertor question

What are the specs on the cam? Most of the ratings by cam companies are for a engine of 350 cubes. Gonna act different in a 460. Also, what intake? Some kill the bottom end no matter what cam is in it.
