'79 Mustang Ghia

The car has been traded 5/17/08.

I'm looking to trade my '79 Ghia notch or sell for $3800obo.

Here's the spec's:

5.0, C4 auto
39,xxx original mi
2.47 open rear-end
original exhaust - quiet, flows good
AM radio

It was repainted probably 10+ years ago; the bumpers could use some attention, and it has a few nicks/scratches. It needs shocks/struts; just haven't gotten to it. There's a bit of rust under the front passenger floor, but that's it. The temp gauge needs looked at as it doesn't always work.

Aside from the repaint everything else is original so far as I know. The heater and AC work, brakes are good, engine an trans are good, no smoke. Since I got it all I've done is put on one new tire, change the oil and put on new wipers. It went right on the road after that since there was nothing else wrong with it.

I'm looking for:

'79, '82-86 Stang or Capri with a 2.3T and 4/5spd with less than 100k and a good body/interior.
'65-66 F100 with an 300ci I6 or V8, auto.
'62-65 Falcon with any I6 or V8, stick or auto.

Pics of my '79 are HERE. If you want any more, just ask!

Still FS. I'd also be interested in a V8 Falcon or 65 / 66 F100.

Ok I decided I'm keeping my '84 GT which already has a 5.0, so I scratched off the 5.0 Capri an updated the first post with what I'm looking for in trade.

Re: '79 Mustang Ghia

Updated price and trade info in the first post.

The winter was not kind and warped the polypropylene front bumper/grille. It's mostly back into shape after drying but
I don't think it'd fix itself 100% so I ordered a new bumper.

Do you have more pics of this car, rust is my concern, would like pics of the floors, and underside of doors (inside lower edge) Maybe looking for a daily driver.

Re: '79 Mustang Ghia

Click HERE for all the pics I have of it. There's a shot in 1-07/Imperfections of the the only bad rust spot, which does not appear to go through the floor. The later pics show the bumper having warped, then drying back into shape.

I'm in talks with a guy to trade for his '62 Falcon; hopefully we'll get together in the next week or two, (this weekend supposedly but it looks like rain everywhere.) If that doesn't work out you're welcome to come look at it.

Re: '79 Mustang Ghia

The interior is exactly the same. For the exterior the front bumper is the only thing to change, but I can snap a couple shots for you.

This weekend is probably not going to happen with the Falcon due to weather / timing. If you want to check the Mustang out though, I can put it in our garage which is well-lit.

Re: '79 Mustang Ghia

It was built in Norfolk and owned by a guy around Richmond until he died something like 5 yrs ago. His family drove it here an there till I bought it last year. There's just something about NY that hates southern paint!

HERE are some pics from today. Please excuse the dates on the pics; apparently the camera got reset.

My dad is going down to VA in a couple weeks, so it could be delivered for some gas $ if needed.
