400 Crankshaft

Am looking for a 400 crankshaft to stroke a 351M rebuild. Will consider any useable part, but would definitely prefer one that has NOT been reground. Please reply (with condition and price) to redfordfocus@ yahoo.com (need to remove the space before the yahoo). Thanks - Scott.

I am pretty sure I have a couple upstairs in my shop. Problems--shipping will kill you & most all 400's & 351m's need to be turned because that's why they had bad oil pressure. Last one I built, I took my 351 crank to NAPA and used it for exchange on 400!

My hunt is on hold for the moment. Turns out the previous owner just assumed it was a 351. The engine looks untouched, and the clock only has 84K on it, which may be original miles. The engine code on the VIN is an "S" - so at least the Bronc left the factory as a 400. I won't know until the engine's out whether its a 351 or a 400 - but I suspect it is a 400 already.

It's not like he would have ever run into problems with routine maint. thinking it was a 351.
