'63 1/2 Galaxie

I posted in the garage a month or so back but in more general terms.

My son is deployed in Afghanistan and has tasked me with helping him spend his deployment money on a car. While there are a few Fisher bodies he is considering, the front runner is a '63 1/2 Galaxie.

We are looking for one that ideally is semi-clean with either a bad running gear or no running gear. Buckets, console and a 4 gear really desired but not an absolute must.

We are lousy at body work so a fairly straight body is a must. Interior can go either way. Just not looking for one that will need to be a total frame off build.

We are in western Washington so the closer to our side of the planet the better. Would like to budget about $6000 for acquisition costs, but could go higher depending on the car.

Would also consider complete driver, too. Depending on the car and the price, of course.

Thanks for looking.
